At SLR Jewels, each piece is designed and hand crafted in New York City, and many pieces are made to order. The sections below explain how long it typically takes for your jewelry to be created and shipped, and what to expect once it is in transit.

Order Processing & Lead Times

Because most SLR pieces are made to order, there is a lead time before your jewelry ships. Processing time is separate from carrier transit time.

  • Most made-to-order pieces require up to 14 business days to be crafted before shipping.
  • If your order includes both made-to-order and ready-to-ship items, the order may ship together once all pieces are complete, unless otherwise arranged.
Made to Order & Custom Pieces

Many SLR designs are made to order in your chosen metal and size. Custom work involves additional design and production steps.

  • Each piece is individually made in New York City with close attention to detail.
  • Made-to-order and custom pieces typically require up to 14 business days to produce, sometimes longer depending on complexity and sourcing.
  • Slight variations in finish or detail are a natural result of handcrafting and are considered part of the unique character of SLR Jewels.
  • Custom commissions or highly detailed pieces may require a separate, agreed-upon timeline.
Ready-to-Ship Pieces

Occasionally, select pieces are in stock and ready to ship.

  • Ready-to-ship orders typically ship within 5 business days after your order is placed.
  • Availability for ready-to-ship items is noted on the product page whenever applicable.
Shipping Methods & Delivery

SLR Jewels ships from the United States using trusted carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL or similar services, depending on destination, order value, and service reliability.

  • Available shipping options and rates are displayed at checkout.
  • Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.
  • We ship securely and fully insured so your jewelry arrives safely.
  • Please note that all orders over $1,000 will require a signature upon delivery to ensure the package is received by someone at the address.
Domestic Shipping (United States)

Domestic orders usually arrive within a few days once they have left us.

  • Most U.S. orders are delivered within 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on the shipping method selected and your location.
  • Deliveries to remote areas, or during peak seasons and holidays, may take longer.
  • Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. Incorrect or incomplete addresses can cause delays or result in the package being returned to us.
  • Packages that are returned to SLR due to an incorrect address can be re-shipped at the buyer’s expense.
International Shipping

SLR Jewels ships to select countries outside of the United States. Availability and pricing for your location will be shown at checkout.

  • International delivery times vary by destination and customs processing, and may take 7–20+ business days after shipment. 
  • Customs duties, VAT, and import taxes are not included in our prices and are the responsibility of the recipient.
  • Customs inspections or local carrier handling may add additional time to the delivery estimate.
  • SLR Jewels is not responsible for delays caused by customs, local postal services, or other factors outside our control.
Tracking Your Order

Once your package has shipped, you’ll receive an email with tracking details so you can follow its progress.

  • Tracking information is emailed automatically to the address used at checkout.
  • Please allow up to 24 hours after you receive the tracking number for scans and updates to appear on the carrier’s website.
  • If you cannot locate your shipping email, check your spam, junk, or promotions folders before contacting us.
Lost, Delayed, or Stolen Packages

Once a package has been handed off to the carrier, transit and final delivery are managed by the carrier and are outside our direct control. If something seems wrong with your delivery:

  • If tracking shows “delivered” but you have not received your package, first check with neighbors, building management, or your local post office/parcel pickup location.
  • If your tracking appears stalled or the package seems lost, contact the carrier with your tracking number to open an investigation.
  • After speaking with the carrier, you can email us with your order number and any relevant details, and we will do our best to assist.
  • SLR Jewels cannot guarantee replacement or refund for packages that the carrier confirms as delivered, especially for non-signature shipments, but we will review each case individually.
Rush Orders & Special Deadlines

If you need your jewelry by a specific date (for example, a birthday, anniversary, or event), please reach out as early as possible.

  • Contact us before or immediately after placing your order if you have a firm deadline.
  • We will let you know if rush processing or expedited shipping is possible for your specific piece and timeline.
  • Additional fees may apply for rush orders or special shipping arrangements.
