Where can I purchase SLR jewelry?

SLR jewelry is available exclusively on our official website: slrjewels.com. We do not sell through third-party retailers, resellers, or marketplaces at this time.

Do you have a physical store or showroom?

Not at this time. SLR operates as a New York–based studio. We may occasionally host private appointments, events, or pop-ups. Join our mailing list or follow us on social media to hear about future in-person experiences.

Are SLR pieces handmade?

Yes. Every SLR piece is designed and hand-crafted in New York City. Many pieces are made individually to order in your chosen metal and size.

Because we work by hand, subtle variations in polish, surface texture, and patina are natural and part of the character of SLR jewelry. No two pieces are ever completely identical.

What materials do you use?

SLR pieces are crafted using high-quality fine jewelry materials, including:

  • 18KT solid gold in yellow, white, or rose tones
  • .925 solid sterling silver
  • Gemstones and specialty materials where applicable
  • Custom castings, settings, and chains designed for SLR silhouettes

Unless explicitly noted, we DO NOT use plated, gold-filled, or vermeil metals. Our focus is on solid, lasting materials.

Is SLR jewelry hypoallergenic?

Our solid gold and sterling silver pieces are generally well-tolerated and considered hypoallergenic for most people. However, everyone’s skin is different, and sensitivities can vary.

If you have known metal allergies or severe sensitivities, email us for more information about the alloys used in a particular piece before purchasing.

Why does my sterling silver tarnish?

Tarnish on sterling silver is completely normal. It occurs when silver reacts with sulfur, moisture, and air over time.

  • It is not a defect and does not damage the metal.
  • Tarnish can be removed with a gentle polishing cloth or a professional cleaning.
  • Storing silver pieces in an airtight pouch or box when not in use slows oxidation.
How should I care for my SLR jewelry?

Proper care keeps your jewelry beautiful and extends its life. We recommend:

  • Storing each piece in its own pouch or box to prevent scratches.
  • Removing jewelry before sleeping, showering, swimming, or exercising.
  • Avoiding contact with perfume, lotion, hairspray, sunscreen, or cleaning products.
  • Wiping your jewelry gently with a soft microfiber or jewelry polishing cloth after wear.
  • Keeping sterling silver away from humidity and in an airtight container when possible.

Over time, a soft patina and subtle marks of wear are natural on precious metals and are part of the story of your piece.

Do you offer cleaning or polishing services?

We do not currently offer in-house cleaning or polishing services. For deep cleaning, re-polishing, or re-finishing, we recommend working with a trusted local jeweler.

Do you offer repairs?

Repairs are handled case by case. If your piece needs attention, please email: info@slrjewelscorp.com with clear photos and a description of the issue.

Depending on the situation, we may:

  • Repair the piece in-house (fees may apply).
  • Recommend a trusted external jeweler for the work.
  • Advise on the safest long-term care or maintenance options.

Damage from long-term wear, impact, exposure to chemicals, or improper care is not considered a manufacturing defect, but we will always do our best to help you find a repair solution.

Can SLR rings be resized?

Some SLR ring styles can be resized; others cannot, depending on the design, stone placement, thickness, and structural details.

If you’re unsure about resizing:

  • Contact us with photos of your ring and your ideal size.
  • We will let you know if resizing is structurally safe for that design.
  • If resizing is not recommended, we can discuss possible remake or exchange options (subject to eligibility).
How do I determine my ring size?

For the most accurate size, we recommend:

  • Visiting a local jeweler to have your finger sized professionally.
  • Using a metal ring sizer rather than printable charts or string methods.

Keep in mind:

  • Finger size can fluctuate with temperature, time of day, and hydration.
  • Wider bands often feel tighter and may require sizing up slightly.
Do you offer custom or bespoke projects?

Yes. SLR accepts custom and bespoke projects selectively, based on studio capacity and the nature of the request.

Custom work typically includes:

  • An initial conversation about your concept, budget, and timeline.
  • Design development, sketches, or moodboards.
  • Sourcing of materials and stones if needed.
  • A non-refundable design deposit before production begins.

Do you offer engraving?

Some SLR designs may be eligible for engraving, depending on the available surface area and structural design.

  • Engraved pieces are final sale due to their personalized nature.
  • Contact us prior to purchase if you’re interested in engraving so we can confirm feasibility and pricing.
Are SLR designs original?

Yes. SLR’s designs — including the Button Series, Heart Hand motifs, silhouettes, sculptural forms, and specific combinations of elements — are original to SLR.

Certain designs may be protected by intellectual property and design rights. We ask that SLR designs not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

What inspires SLR jewelry?

SLR is rooted in gesture, intimacy, symbolism, and sculptural storytelling. Many pieces explore themes of connection, protection, vulnerability, and touch — translating emotional states into wearable forms.

Our Button and Heart Hand motifs, for example, speak to fastening, holding, embracing, and the small rituals of everyday affection.

Do you offer gift packaging or notes?

Yes. All SLR pieces are packaged in branded boxes or pouches suitable for gifting. If you would like to include a personal message with your gift, please leave your note text in the order note during checkout.

Do you offer warranties?

We do not offer a formal written warranty, but we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our work. If you experience an issue with your piece, reach out to us and we will review it individually and advise on the best path forward.
